The largest attraction of its type in the Gulf, The Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre explores the natural diversity of Abu Dhabi’s desert and its cultural connections.
Aldrich Pears Associates led an international team to develop an experience that seamlessly integrates with the building’s complex architecture. Alen worked closely with the APA team to deliver dozens of large scale illustrations of the land and ocean species shown in the Desert Over Time gallery.

Conceptual development of the exhibits
In the early days of the centre’s development, Alen contributed with a set of concept visualizations that help depicting visitor’s experience to clients, vendors, media, and other interested parties. Concept illustrations proved to be a valuable and cost-effective method for garnering useful feedback on designs and ensuring the coherence and uniformity of exhibits throughout the center.
